Air and health
We are concerned about odours, dust, ammonia and bioaerosols, and their impact on residents’ daily lives.
“Sowińce – Nasz DOM” Association
We bring residents together, share information about important issues and act wherever the voice of the local community is needed.
An important issue for the whole village
We were deeply concerned to learn that a poultry farm is planned in our village or its immediate vicinity. We want full transparency throughout the procedure, access to documents and meaningful participation by residents at every stage.

Our peace, health and safety are not for sale.
Who we are
Sowińce is not an empty plot at the edge of the world. It is family homes, a place where children grow up, the everyday life of older residents and peace built over many years.
The “Sowińce Nasz Dom” Association was founded out of a need to act together. We want to protect quality of life, the local environment and residents’ right to help decide the future of our village.
The village’s memory
The history of Sowińce is inseparably linked to that of Buczek municipality and the Łask region. For many generations, the settlement developed as a small agricultural village whose life centred on family farms, work on the land and a close-knit neighbourhood community.
Although the history of Sowińce itself has not been widely described in available publications, it lives on in residents’ memories, family stories, old photographs, documents and accounts passed down from generation to generation.
Administrative borders and the country’s territorial divisions changed over the years. From 1975 to 1998, Sowińce belonged to Sieradz Voivodeship. Today, the village lies in Łódź Voivodeship, in Łask County, within Buczek municipality.
The true history of Sowińce is, above all, the history of the people who lived here, raised families, built homes, ran farms and created the local community together.
Every home, field and farm has its own memories. These individual stories come together to form the shared history of the entire village.
We want to preserve this history for future generations. That is why we invite residents to share old photographs, documents, maps, memories and stories about Sowińce in years gone by.
Together, we can create a genuine archive of our village and save from oblivion the stories of those who shaped its character over the years.
Sowińce is more than a place on the map. It is the history of many generations and our shared HOME.
Why we say “no”
We demand a reliable assessment of possible nuisance and answers based on complete documentation — before decisions affecting many families are made.
We are concerned about odours, dust, ammonia and bioaerosols, and their impact on residents’ daily lives.
We ask about noise, increased lorry traffic and safety on local roads.
We expect clear information about waste and manure management and the protection of soil and water.
We do not accept that one development’s interests should outweigh the life’s work and quality of life of many families.
We act within the law
We will use every legal measure available. We also call on the Mayor of Buczek Municipality to urgently support residents and protect the interests of the local community.

Our position
People have lived here for years. These are our homes. These are our children. This is our everyday life and our peace.
We do not accept that one investor’s interests should be more important than the health, peace, safety and property of many residents.
We do not accept a small village being treated as a place for a burdensome development on the assumption that older, peaceful people busy with their lives will not defend themselves.
That assumption is wrong. The residents of Sowińce will act — calmly, lawfully and with firm resolve.
Our message to the investor is clear: Sowińce does not want a poultry farm. We will defend our village.
